polyplanet company 2016
Hiroshi Fuji has been creating sculptures and installations, or mechanisms that cause a variety of activities, collecting vinyl and plastic material thrown away in everyday life. These activities were inspired by a project where he kept all of the garbage from his house without throwing it away for seven years from 1997. What is happening on the second floor of a former bank building is an installation imagining a fictional company that develops products using vinyl and plastic material. There is a not-for-sale shop consisting of items made from materials that Fuji has collected so far, and a workshop to produce them as well as a lobby where visitors can relax. This fictional company provides an opportunity for us to reconsider scrap materials hidden at the underside of life.
