A Wonder Lasts but Nine Days -Rumors about Tomoko-

At the first international art hackathon, KENPOKU ART Hack Day (2015), three artists, Taku Iwasawa, Takuya Masuda, and Masahiro Kato expressed great interest in Kanako Saito’s project proposal, and the four artists started a collective. The group researched a mutual aid system for the community of miners during the time, called “Sanchu Tomoko,” and began to explore its forgotten history. Considering this history in connection with Hanayama cabaret in the bar district of Hitachi city, the members will bring attention to this other history of these small communities through the rumors and events that have been forgotten in our official history.
