Achromatic World 2016

Achromatic World

The former music room has become a curious world that offers a unique experience. Walk through the rooms in order, where you will be entertained by a succession of colorful videos. The whole space is an interactive “picturebook” that tells a story. Is the story’s development determined by coincidence, or by a twist of fate? Hackathons are events where individuals with diverse skills come together to exchange ideas and set up a project in a short period of time. This artwork was produced at one such event – the “3331α Art Hack Day 2015” – by Chiaki Kohara (artist), Kaiho Tadaishi (architect), Teruaki Tsubokura (media artist), Yuya Urita (front-end engineer), and Satoshi Eto (web engineer), as a piece of technology art that places high value on analog elements, and it was awarded the Grand Prix in the Art category. At this festival they will be presenting the latest version of their work in a large-scale installation.
