Yu SATO’s KENPOKU SONGS

At KENPOKU ART 2016, Yu Sato will be creating music videos, for which he will be both lyricist and performer, using as motifs a few of the works exhibited at KENPOKU ART 2016. The motifs include Kosho Ito’s installation composed of 3000 sculpted porcelain pieces, the Tananmentai, Tea Mäkipää’s Noah’s Bus, Wang Te-Yu’s giant balloon artwork, and Ilya and Emilia Kabakov’s “The Fallen Sky”. These music videos will be shown during the festival on pre-existing monitors in the Kenpoku region, such as at Michi-no-Eki. Sato’s intent is to introduce the festival’s artwork and sites to the public in a more inspiring way, by using a medium that we see on television in our daily lives.
