Access to the northern Ibaraki region

Mito is the gateway for accessing each area in the northern Ibaraki region.
The Izura/Takahagi seaside area can be accessed via the JR Joban line or by car via the Joban Jidoshado.
The Oku-kuji clear stream area and Hitachi-Ota Kujiragaoka area are accessible via the JR Joban
or Suigun train lines or by car via the Jōban Expressway or national routes (Kokudou).
Air travellers can access each area via the JR Joban or Suigun lines departing from Mito station.
